AB The content of this study is a list of the history of Kozli Castle (Benesov district) from the Middle Ages to the Modern Age on the basis of a revision of older opinions and an analysis of written sources. The aim of the article is both to correct inaccuracies that are repeated in older and contemporary literature on Kozli Castle, and to supplement the current state of knowledge with unpublished information and thus clarify the fates of its owners and the castle itself. It played an important role as the seat of important personalities of the first half of the 15th century. However, its history did not end until the beginning of the 19th century, when it was last used as a medieval backdrop. In conclusion, the study deals with the current condition of preservation, protection and presentation of the ruins of Kozli Castle.
