AB The primary focus of the article is to present detailed plans of two undated fortified settlements near the village of Mcely (Nymburk District). The documentation is based on surface research exploiting the data from aerial scanning of the earth. The plans chart the relics of fortifications as well as damage caused by agriculture and forestry. The larger of the two explored settlements ranks among the most remarkable monuments of its kind even beyond Central Bohemia. Its complicated fortification system and exceptionally large, enclosed area attract attention.
