The Castle with the Holy Trinity Chapel in Dobřejovice around 1700
The article discusses the Holy Trinity Chapel in Dobřejovice near Prague, which is part of the local castle. Around 1700, Count František Karel Přehořovský of Kvasejovice, who (along with his wife) owned the Dobřejovice estate, commissioned the castle’s construction by converting it from the previous fortress. Giovanni Battista Alliprandi, who carried out the reconstruction, worked for Count Přehořovský and designed some of his most remarkable buildings (the palace at no. 347/III in the Lesser Town of Prague and the Piarist Monastery and church in Benešov). Nevertheless, it remains uncertain who designed the castle chapel in Dobřejovice, which was highly acclaimed at that time.
