The Archdeaconry of St Bartholomew’s Church in Kolín
The article summarises the current findings on the building development of the archdeaconry building (Brandlova Street no. 25) of St Bartholomew’s Church in Kolín based on the building-historical survey from 2014–2015 and its updating during the reconstruction of the house in 2015. It determines the extent of the medieval parish building that corresponds to the present one and suggests specifying the dates of the crucial construction phase into the 1380s, in direct connection to the construction of the presbytery at St Bartholomew’s Church. In addition to the determination of the Baroque and classicist building phases, it points to the close relation between the concept of the deaconry façade cleansing and the purist reconstruction of the church.
