The article summarises new findings from the archival survey and research of St Bartholomew’s Church and the cemetery that surrounds it.The originally Gothic church with a rectangular presbytery, the type that was being built in the region in the second half of the 13th century,was rebuilt and extended to the west during 1769–1771. Its Late Baroque form has remained except for partial modifications (the sacristy andstaircase). The tower above the rectangular choir (presbytery) is of special interest. The article summarises the current findings on the building development of the archdeaconry building (Brandlova Street no. 25) of St Bartholomew’s Church in Kolín based on the building-historical survey from 2014–2015 and its updating during the reconstruction of the house in 2015. It determines the extent of the medieval parish building that corresponds to the present one and suggests specifying the dates of the crucial construction phase into the 1380s, in direct connection to the construction of the presbytery at St Bartholomew’s Church.
